The Prayer Ministry is multifaceted and foundational to all other ministries of Christ the King Lutheran Church
Prayer Partners are available to pray with people individually during the communion time at two of our Sunday morning worship services or after any worship service.
The Intercessory Prayer Team meets weekly to intercede for the needs of the congregation and staff. This group receives requests through prayer request cards received from the congregation on Sundays, through the prayer request notebook in the welcome center, via telephone call to the church, or submitted online.
The Church Council gathers in the sanctuary each month to pray in accordance with James 5:14 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” Individuals and families in need are encouraged to come for prayer during this time. Usually this prayer time is on the second Tuesday night of the month at 7:00 PM .
The PrayerChain (phone and email) may be activated at any time as urgent prayer requests are received. If you have a prayer concern, call or email the church office or a pastor.
Prayer Bookmarks are available in the welcome center to take home, listing prayer needs from members and friends of the congregation. We encourage everyone to take a bookmark and to pray regularly for others and their needs.
